Great read on the tragedy that is MTV’s the Real World. I haven’t watched the past few seasons because it all became way too distant and not interesting. I watched the original season with Eric Nies and Co. when it aired, and that group could have been his ass annoying as all 24 that have followed, but there is little revelation nor entertainment in the show and cast nowadays. Its cliche meets cliche meets cliche meet mediocracy, like much of youth pop culture.

This is certainly not the same show that tackled racism, homophobia, and AIDS way back when.
