Check out my recap of the lovely Julie Klausner’s “How Was Your Week” Live, which was my first piece up on Splitsider.

Last Thursday, deep in the heart of Brooklyn, comedienne and writer Julie Klausner invited about 300 people to join her in the famous snack nest. Klausner brought her hilarious weekly podcast “How Was Your Week” to the Bell House stage for a second time and as the Gowanus Grounddog predicted — something magical happened.

Notes Female Writers in Late Night by the Numbers
NOTES:
1) The host doubles as a writer on each of these shows but we did not include them in the counts.
2) Although Jimmy Kimmel only has one female writer, she is a co-head writer. None of the other shows hosted by men have female head writers.
3) Craig Ferguson’s only female writer is his sister.These stats are reason enough to:
1) Shoot yourself
2) Try your hand at late night writing
3) Support shows like Chelsea Handler, whose staff reflects her audience.
